Jayell Smoke House BBQ at 1/2, 221 North Bailey Street, Romeo, Michigan.

This was our first time at Jayell after reading a lot of positive reviews. The pulled chicken was good but lacked a bit of smoke. (4 stars). Unfortunately, the brisket was disappointing. In fact we threw half of it away. The cuts of sliced brisket we received looked like slabs of fat with some meat on the inside edge. The brisket which was edible had a solid smoke bark and flavor. (1 Star). The sides were good overall, the cornbread bake and baked beans were excellent, while the coleslaw was brown average (reminded me of KFC). (3 Stars). I plan to give Jayell another shot but will request the brisket to be extra lean. Overall 2 Stars due to the inedible brisket
